***A Clinic I Will Never Forget** π
Yesterday’s clinic was the most impactful one I have ever led. From the very beginning, I felt a strong prompting to pray for the women. This wasn’t just a fleeting thought; it lingered with me, persistent and significant, and I knew we needed to create space for it.
We started by inviting prayer requests and shared from Psalm 139:1–3. This simple moment opened the door for deeper sharing as the women began to tell their stories. Their experiences carry real weight. Being a parent of a child with a disability is already challenging, but in communities where stigma and rejection are prevalent, the burden becomes even heavier. π
Three women spoke openly. Mama Imruan shared her struggles with her in-laws, believing that her sister-in-law is using witchcraft against her children. Mama Shakira talked about how her husband was robbed, and their home was broken into, leaving her feeling constantly under attack. π
As we listened, Israel and Enoch shared their insights on prayer—not just the act itself, but its power. What stood out the most was that every woman wanted prayer. π
Regardless of their backgrounds—whether Muslim, Catholic, or Seventh-day Adventist—every woman longed to be seen by God and sought His touch. ❤️
As we discussed God's love and His care for them amidst their situations, a shift occurred in the room. You could feel it. The atmosphere grew still yet filled with a palpable peace unlike anything I have ever experienced before. π
By the time we finished, a quiet joy settled among the women. It felt as though a heavy burden had been lifted. We then moved into physiotherapy exercises, but the ministry did not stop there. We spent extra time with two mothers who were carrying particularly heavy burdens, offering them encouragement and simply being present with them. π€
Yesterday served as a reminder that sometimes the most important work is not found in the program itself. But in making space for God to meet his people right where they are.
Please pray with us that it's just the beginning of a move of God, which only He can accomplish!!
