**When Women Unite, Change Begins**

 

On February 19th, our mothers and grandmothers made a significant decision to form their own savings circle after months of discussion. 🤝💪

 

In Uganda, savings circles are a reliable way for women to manage their finances. Each member contributes a small amount, while a committee ensures accountability by keeping clear records and fostering trust among members. 📊✨

 

Our role is to provide support. The women decided to store their funds on a mobile money SIM card that requires approval from three members for any withdrawals. This system is practical, transparent, and entirely controlled by them. 📱💼

 

Savings circles can become registered associations, which unlock opportunities for grants and income-generating projects. For many women raising children or grandchildren without external support, this opportunity is invaluable. 🌱💖
